Report: Dollar Goes Further in Alabama Than 47 States


A dollar buys more or less depending on what state you are in. To shed light on these differences in relative purchasing power of Americans in every state, 24/7 Wall St. calculated the value of a dollar in each state using data from the Bureau of Economic Analysis.

According to new data from the Bureau of Economic Analysis, the value of 
one dollar in Alabama ranks second highest in the nation.

A report compiled by 24/7 Wall Street explains that the dollar only goes 
further in Mississippi than Alabama.
